How we think

Progress,
with purpose.

New possibilities matter when they make something better for the person using them.

Three ideas
we keep coming back to.

01

Start with something real.

A useful product begins with a real need. We look for the friction in ordinary moments — the plan lost in the scroll, the awkward “you owe me” — and design from there.

02

Make room for people.

Clear choices, considered defaults and interfaces that respect your attention. The experience should make sense from the first visit.

03

Earn trust in the details.

Explain what a feature does, where its limits are and what remains to be improved. Ambition and honesty belong together.

Principles
you can see.

Small and private by default

Invite-only. No public directory, trending page or “people you may know”. Only your connections can message you unless you choose otherwise.

Honest about security

Messages are encrypted in the browser before upload, and we explain what the server can still see. Until there’s an independent review, we don’t call it end-to-end encrypted.

Never touching money

Payment and crypto requests are records between friends. Paying always happens with the provider or wallet you choose.

Calm, not compulsive

No streaks or engagement scores. Read receipts and presence can be switched off, and Activity shows only what’s worth your attention.

Safety as a feature

Blocking is enforced on the server, anything can be reported, and moderation actions are written to an audit log.

AI that asks first

On-device features run only when you click, on your own computer, and AI-assisted messages are labelled for everyone.
